Job Description

• Industry/ Organization Type: Logistic Service Provider
• Position Title: Assistant Engineer
• Working Location: West - Jurong Island (Company Transportation Provided, Islandwide)
• Working Hours: 4 days, 12 hours Rotating Shift (2-day shifts + 2-night shifts)
• Salary Package: Up to SGD 4500 + Allowances (Rotating Shift + Meal) + Incentives (Attendance + Retention) + AWS + Performance Bonus
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on packaging/conveying equipment, facilities, and electrical systems on Material Handling Equipment, along with other assigned tasks
• Perform mechanical preventive maintenance on packaging equipment and facilities, and handle additional duties as assigned
• Diagnose and resolve faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on various equipment
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, ensuring quick recovery to operational status
• Utilize Predictive Maintenance to analyze and minimize equipment downtime
• Effectively use CMMS to investigate part failures
• Organize and execute planned shutdown maintenance
• Lead a team of maintenance technicians and coordinate with vendors for fabrication work
• Manage the inventory of critical spare parts for equipment
• Oversee and document the commissioning of new equipment
• Record maintenance activities on works orders, and provide daily updates to superiors
• Generate and prepare reports for management presentations
• Procure parts from service vendors as necessary
• Assess risks and hazards associated with maintenance jobs
• Guide the team in Root Cause Analysis and collaborate with the Operational Team on Failure Analysis
• Lead projects aimed at continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to new technicians

• Min. Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
• Min. 2 years of relevant experience in automation systems
• Possesses a basic understanding of AC drives, electrical motors, pneumatic cylinders, and roller/chain conveyors
• Capable of utilizing, debugging, and modifying existing PLC programs, with knowledge of PLC and electrical systems
• Proficient in reading and using Electrical Single Line Diagrams
• Skilled in working with low voltage distribution boards for lighting and auxiliary equipment.
• Willing to undertake 12-hour rotating shifts and be available for standby duties as needed
