We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong VMware and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) expertise to join a large-scale banking technology project supporting one of the leading regional financial institutions.

This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure environments, system administration, and infrastructure delivery within fast-paced project environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, configure, and administer VMware and RHEL environments

• Manage and support Linux/Unix servers and infrastructure platforms

• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application-related issues

• Support infrastructure implementation across server, network, backup, and database environments

• Perform system upgrades, patching, monitoring, and lifecycle management

• Develop and maintain shell scripting and automation tasks

• Write and optimise SQL queries for Oracle/MySQL databases

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on deployment and environment readiness

• Maintain infrastructure documentation and operational procedures

• Participate in incident support and after-hours/on-call activities when required

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Infrastructure/System Engineering roles

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

• Experience supporting enterprise server infrastructure environments

• Good knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting

• Familiarity with Oracle and MySQL databases

• Exposure to Windows and Linux operating systems

• Experience in banking, financial services, or enterprise project environments is an advantage

Nice to Have

• Exposure to infrastructure automation tools or scripting

• VMware or Red Hat certifications
