Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced L2 Build Engineer with hands-on expertise in VMware

and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) to support infrastructure build and delivery. The

role requires a strong mix of infrastructure engineering and project coordination

experience, with exposure to enterprise-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform build, configuration, and administration of VMware and RHEL

environments.

* Support infrastructure delivery and implementation across server, network,

backup, or database components.

* Coordinate infrastructure activities across teams as part of project execution.

* Administrate and manage Linux and Unix servers

* Troubleshoot and maintain Unix/Linux-based applications in the servers.

* Write and optimize SQL queries for Oracle/MySQL databases.

* Ensure alignment with build standards, OS versions (current and obsolete), and

enterprise guidelines.

* Support incident troubleshooting and resolution related to infrastructure

platforms.

* Work with stakeholders to track project progress, risks, and dependencies.

* Maintain documentation for system builds, configurations, and processes.

* Assist in system upgrades, patching, and environment lifecycle management.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams for deployment, releases, and

environment readiness.

* Ensure adherence to IT standards, terminology, and industry practices.

* Drive automation and process improvements to enhance system efficiency and

reduce manual intervention.

* Assist in system monitoring, logging, and automation.

* Automate tasks using shell scripting or configuration management tools.

* Maintain robust backup and disaster recovery procedures.

* Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.

* Contribute to IT strategy, architecture, and infrastructure planning.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

* 3–5 years (L2 level) experience in infrastructure or system engineering roles.

* Strong working knowledge of VMware and RHEL platforms.

* Hands-on experience in server infrastructure and exposure to network, backup,

or database domains.

* Strong knowledge of Unix shell scripting with Oracle and MySQL databases.

* Experience in Windows and Linux operating systems.

Preferred Skills

* Exposure to automation or scripting for infrastructure tasks.

* Certifications in VMware, Red Hat, or Project Management are advantageous.
