Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly to minimize operational downtime.
• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Execute scheduled firmware upgrades to enhance system performance and security.
• Provide on-site support for servers and storage systems, including hardware replacements (e.g., disks, memory, power supplies).
• Monitor and maintain infrastructure components such as UPS, PDUs, and CRAC units to ensure optimal performance and airflow.
• Manage incidents and service requests using ServiceNow, ensuring adherence to SLA requirements.
• Support project implementations by handling network-related setup and execution tasks.
• Offer technical guidance on network solutions to ensure alignment with company standards.
• Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery and technical compliance.
• Oversee external contractors for specialized maintenance work (electrical, HVAC, fire systems) within the server room.
• Maintain accurate records of network assets, inventory, and documentation for audit readiness.
• Monitor rack space, power usage, and cooling capacity, while keeping DCIM data, rack layouts, and cable labeling updated.
• Take ownership of newly deployed systems post-project and ensure smooth operational handover.
• Act as the primary contact for critical after-hours incidents and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering, IT, or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Center or IT Infrastructure roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• CCNA certification is required; CDCP is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking, structured cabling, power systems, UPS redundancy, and cooling systems.
• Proven troubleshooting skills in handling complex technical issues under pressure.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with vendors and explain technical matters to non-technical teams.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
