Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the Instrumentation team including Engineers, Designers, and Drafters to ensure project milestones and schedules are achieved.
- Report to the Engineering Manager on all technical matters, project progress, and manpower coordination.
- Prepare, review, check, and submit instrumentation engineering deliverables including datasheets, specifications, engineering reports, calculations, cost estimations, sizing, and instrumentation drawings/packages.
- Participate in client technical reviews and engineering sessions including Design Review, HAZOP, IPF, technical clarifications, site technical queries, and site supervision activities as required by the project.
- Review, comment, and endorse engineering documents, drawings, and designs prepared by the engineering team to ensure quality and timely submission.
- Manage engineering tasks and project activities to ensure work is completed within project schedule, budget, and client expectations.
- Ensure all instrumentation designs and calculations comply with applicable industry standards, codes, regulations, and company procedures.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams during design and project execution stages.
- Ensure sketch drawings and engineering inputs prepared by Engineers contain sufficient details for Designers/Drafters to produce accurate detailed drawings.
- Provide engineering support during construction, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and project execution activities for onshore and offshore oil & gas facilities.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams on instrumentation engineering matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Instrumentation / Control & Automation) or related discipline.
- Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as Graduate Engineer (GE) or Professional Engineer (if applicable).
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in instrumentation engineering, preferably in engineering consultancy or EPC environment.
- Familiarity with oil & energy industry projects, both onshore and offshore, is preferred.
- Experience in instrumentation design, field instrumentation, control systems, and engineering documentation will be an added advantage.
- Familiar or proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of other engineering design software will be an advantage.
- Strong coordination skills in managing project interfaces between disciplines and stakeholders.
- Good communication skills with ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering project team.
