Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one literacy support to students with hearing loss in mainstream primary and secondary schools.
- Regularly assess and monitor each student’s progress according to their individual needs, and keep records of their performance.
- Liaise and work closely with school personnel, parents and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention outcomes in alignment with the funders' and organisational guidelines.
- Support reviews of Learning Support SOPs, and recommend process improvements.
- Assist in planning and facilitating workshops or outreach sessions for schools, parents, and the community.
- Collaborate with the Itinerant Support Team to achieve performance targets and uphold service standards.
- Support audit processes and prepare data or evidence for reporting purposes.
- Attend training, including Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) beyond Level 1.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience delivering literacy intervention or supporting students aged 7 or above with learning difficulties in schools/learning centres. Prior experience working with students with hearing loss is welcome but not essential.
- Diploma in any field with GCE ‘O’ level passes (Min C6 and above) in English and Mathematics
- Meticulous and good time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Selected candidates must:
- Apply for the Instructor Registration Scheme (IRS) with MOE
- Use SgSL to communicate with clients
