IT Project Manager (Banking)

Working location: Kuala Lumpur

Mandatory Skills: Must have experience manage Banking Project

Expertise Required :

• University degree Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification Computer Science / Information Technology or it’s equivalent.
• Must have 10+ years of experience of project management especially in Financial Institutions projects.
• Must have vast experience in managing regional projects.
• Experience in managing senior stakeholders and vendors and SI which comes with its own complexities and challenges
• Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary and regional environment
• Experience in implementing multiple IT projects in a dynamic and complex environment

Job Scope :

• Project planning and initiation - develop project high-level plan, align expectation with regional users
• Scope, time & budget management - manage project timelines, estimate costs and manage project budget
• Risk & issue management - identify potential risks and develop mitigation plan, proactively manage issue that arise
• Communication & stakeholder management - primary point of contact, keep stakeholders informed through regular updates, facilitate meetings, presentations and reporting. Coordinate with vendor to delivery project deliverables.
• To work concurrently together with Business Units and Group Technology PIC as part of the project engagement to ensure the respective business units / functional related activities and the overall IT related project activities are tracked and managed seamlessly.
• The PM is required as stream leads to work with the respective Bank’s project teams throughout the project life cycle including but not limited to the functional, application, integration, data migration, testing, deployment, cutover & post-live phases.
• Quality control - manage testing, reviews, and feedback loops. Coordinate with Test Manager to ensure Testing Phase complete on time.
• Change Management - assess and manage change request, ensure alignment with project scope
• Monitoring & reporting - track progress against milestones
• Project closure - finalize all activities, deliverables and documentation
• Develop, monitor and execute deployment strategy and approach as well as deployment plan
• Assist in command centre setup and manage deployment during system cutover inclusive of organisation change management for the adoption of the new system
