This position is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and technical support of retail branch facilities and building infrastructure, ensuring the safe, efficient, and stable operation of all related equipment and systems. The Senior Engineer will take on leadership, project management, executing maintenance tasks, supporting technical operations and technical mentoring responsibilities, while the lower experience or qualification will be considered as Engineer post.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspection, maintenance, and repair of retail branch facilities, including but not limited to electrical systems (lighting, power distribution), HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection systems, elevators/escalators, and building structures.
Respond promptly to equipment failures and maintenance requests from retail branches, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
Comply with all safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to building maintenance and equipment operation; conduct safety checks regularly to identify and eliminate potential hazards.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment status, repair logs, and spare parts inventory; submit regular maintenance reports to the management team.
Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for specialized maintenance work (e.g., elevator maintenance, fire system inspection) to ensure quality and timeliness.
Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance plans to extend equipment lifespan and reduce maintenance costs.
Provide technical guidance and support to retail branch staff on the proper use of facility equipment and emergency response procedures.
Lead and supervise a team of technicians, assign tasks, conduct performance evaluations, and provide technical training and mentoring to enhance team capability.
Manage maintenance projects, including budget planning, project scheduling, resource allocation, and project closure, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Develop and optimize maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and reduce overall maintenance costs.
Analyze maintenance data and equipment performance trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Liaise with senior management to report on maintenance operations, project progress, and potential risks; provide recommendations for facility upgrades or equipment replacements.
Handle complex technical issues that the junior engineering team cannot resolve, and serve as the primary technical point of contact for critical maintenance matters.

Required Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant professional certifications are highly desirable, such as Electrical License, HVAC Certification.
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years of team leadership or project management experience in retail or commercial building maintenance.
Experience in repairing and maintenance of electrical systems, air conditioning, plumbing, fire services, structural repairs
Experience in commercial buildings, retail branches is highly preferred
