What you have to do
The proposed internship role will focus on standardizing project management workflows and exploring how AI can enhance planning, tracking, and reporting efficiency across our global warehouse automation projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
Workflow Standardization: Support the Global PMO in documenting, standardizing, and optimizing end-to-end project workflows for warehouse automation projects across regions.
AI Integration: Work with PMO and project managers to translate current practices into standardized templates, process maps, and checklists suitable for AI-assisted execution.
Tool Design & Testing: Assist in designing and testing AI-enabled tools that help generate project plans, consolidate status data, and improve visibility for stakeholders.
Data Consolidation: Perform data consolidation from multiple projects (e.g., trackers, shipment reports, PM tools) into a structured format.
Documentation & Training: Prepare documentation, user guides, and basic training materials for PMO and project teams to adopt new tools and workflows.
AI Development: Utilize AI tools such as OpenClaw and Claude Code to develop specialized mini-tools for productivity enhancement and deliver AI applications tailored to material handling robotics business scenarios.
Potential assignments during the summer internship:
Project Plan Generation Tool: Analyze existing project plans and build a standardized template; define parameters (size, scope, region) to automatically generate draft project plans; and prototype an AI-assisted tool that produces a first-draft WBS and timeline.
Shipment Tracker Consolidation & Automated Updates: Review and map current shipment trackers; design a consolidated data model; and build a mechanism to aggregate shipment data into a single source of truth with automated status updates or notifications.
What you need to have
Academic Background: Year 3 or 4 students (or postgraduate students) pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data/AI, Information Systems, or a related field
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with an interest in project management.
Technical Literacy: Basic familiarity with AI or automation tools.
Soft Skills: Attention to detail, along with coordination and communication skills
Important Eligibility Note: To qualify for the STEM Internship Scheme, the internship must last at least 28 calendar days. A maximum of two remote work days per week is permitted if it is part of the employer's current practice, provided it is not cross-border in nature. Only students enrolled in a full-time major on the official STEM list are eligible; minors are not eligible.
