Position Overview

The Senior Enterprise Architect will work different departments to improve our current IT application infrastructure, set the direction for integrating information technology, developing and implementing architecture approaches and solutions. This might include evaluating business functions, creating architecture models, and developing ways to integrate with the business IT systems across multiple platforms.

This role is responsible to the planning of the overall organisational IT strategy. This role requires to identify diverse business needs and offer optimal systems solutions to address them holistically. This role also requires an effective leader who communicates his ideas effectively.

Role & Responsibilities

Implement enterprise architecture strategy

• Provide inputs into the overall enterprise architecture strategy
• Develop recommendations for shared application and architecture to reduce costs and facilitate information flow
• Manage risks related to IT and information assets
• Evangelise a set of ideals around enterprise architecture within organisation
  
  
  

Identify business needs

• Develop understanding of company's business
• Undertake high level research and analysis to capture current state architecture and identify future trends
• Use architectural models and frameworks to identify key relationships and gaps between business objectives, processes and systems
  
  
  

Support projects

• Guide IT decisions toward consistency across the enterprise
• Create repeatable processes
• Remove conflict of interest in decision making
• Provide cross project architectural governance that includes identifying relevant strategy, policy and roadmaps
  
  
  

Design enterprise architecture

• Develop future state models and plans
• Build a transition architecture
• Take ownership for technical correctness and completeness of the integrated system design
• Recommend products that will evolve the organisation's technical infrastructure
• Deliver an architecture that supports the most efficient and secure IT environment
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field
• Should have over 10 years of relevant architecture work experience
• Must possess a profound understanding of network technologies and their practical application
• Proven track record of designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex enterprise-level network solutions
• Experience in defining, documenting, and applying network architecture patterns (e.g. hub-spoke, mesh, micro-segmentation) to ensure consistency, scalability, and resilience
• Ability to contribute to and develop network technology roadmaps that align with the overall enterprise strategy
• Network certifications like Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, or related network certification
• Cloud certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect
