We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of providing essential learning support to students with hearing loss within mainstream Primary and Secondary school settings. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one literacy support to students with hearing loss in mainstream primary and secondary schools.
  • Regularly assess and monitor each student’s progress according to their individual needs, and keep records of their performance.
  • Liaise and work closely with school personnel, parents and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention outcomes in alignment with the funders’ and organisational guidelines.
  • Support reviews of Learning Support SOPs, and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist in planning and facilitating workshops or outreach sessions for schools, parents, and the community.
  • Collaborate with the Itinerant Support Team to achieve performance targets and uphold service standards.
  • Support audit processes and prepare data or evidence for reporting purposes.
  • Attend training, including Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) beyond Level 1.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience delivering literacy intervention or supporting students aged 7 or above with learning difficulties in schools/learning centres. Prior experience working with students with hearing loss is welcome but not essential.
  • Diploma in any field with GCE ‘O’ level passes, a minimum score of C6 in both English and Mathematics
  • Meticulous and good time management skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Selected candidates must:
  • Apply for the Instructor Registration Scheme (IRS) with MOE
  • Use SgSL to communicate with clients
