RHB Investment Bank Berhad is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IB AML/CFT Compliance Specialist to support our robust Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing framework. This role involves conducting thorough AML investigations, analyzing complex data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements within the investment banking sector.

Job Responsibilities

As an IB AML/CFT Compliance Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Applying expert knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CFT) regulations to identify potential risks and breaches.
• Collaborating with Law Enforcement and regulatory bodies, providing necessary support and information during Law Enforcement Investigations related to AMLA.
• Preparing and submitting accurate and timely Regulatory Submissions to relevant authorities, ensuring full compliance with all reporting obligations under AMLA.
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders particularly LEAs and competent authorities, to foster a culture of compliance.
• Facilitating the Suspicious Transaction Reporting (STR) reporting to the FIED of BNM for any suspicious activities by the customer
• Staying abreast of evolving AML/CFT regulations, industry best practices, and emerging typologies to continuously enhance the bank's compliance framework.
  
  

Job Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Proven experience in AML Investigations and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) within the financial services industry, preferably in investment banking.
• In-depth understanding of local and international AML/CFT laws, regulations, and guidelines.analysing
• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ACAMS) are highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
