We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Electrical Technician (Chargeman A4) to support electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, plant operations, and equipment reliability in a manufacturing environment. The role involves overseeing daily operation and maintenance activities, supporting project and shutdown works, supervising technical tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety and statutory requirements. Candidates should possess strong technical knowledge, be proactive in troubleshooting and problem-solving, and able to coordinate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for plant equipment and facilities.
- Lead, guide, and coordinate technical team members to ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
- Operate and maintain electrical systems in compliance with safety and statutory requirements.
- Carry out inspection and preventive maintenance for motors, panels, MCC, and electrical components.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
- Support plant shutdown, project, and improvement activities when required.
- Monitor electrical system performance and report abnormalities promptly.
- Ensure compliance with DOSH, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), and company safety standards.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to support smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Possess valid Chargeman A4 Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
- Strong Supervisory Skills with the ability to lead and manage technical teams effectively
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
- Hands-on experience in operating and maintaining Heavy Equipment
- Strong Communication skills for team collaboration and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues promptly
- Able for on-call support and respond promptly to electrical or equipment breakdowns when required.
- Able to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
- Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently.
- Experience in instrumentation, PLC, or plant shutdown work is an added advantage.
