Responsibilities

Position Summary

Tag is a global creative production studio, part of the Dentsu network, delivering end-to-end marketing content for some of the world's leading brands. This role sits within a dedicated account team supporting a leading global consumer electronics brand on a high-volume CRM and digital communications programme spanning multiple Southeast Asian and Pacific markets.


We are looking for a Copywriter with 3 to 5 years of experience who understands that CRM copy is a discipline of its own. You will be writing EDMs, push notifications, and in-app messages that reach real people at specific moments in the customer lifecycle. The copy you produce needs to be clear, on-brand, and structured in a way that works seamlessly within a templated, personalised email environment.


Beyond strong writing, we are looking for someone who approaches their work with rigour and care. Someone who invests time in understanding the brief before putting words down, delivers copy that the wider team can act on immediately, and does not let quality slip when the volume picks up. Position Responsibilities

Copy Production

  • Produce copy for the full range of CRM communications including EDMs, push notifications, and in-app messages across multiple Southeast Asian and Pacific markets, understanding that each communication type has its own tone, objective, and structural requirements.
  • Write subject lines, preview text, body copy, CTAs, and any supporting copy elements to a consistently high standard, with a clear awareness of how each element contributes to open rates, click-through, and conversion.
  • Take ownership of copy handover by ensuring every package is complete, clearly organised, and thoughtfully marked up, giving the HTML production team full visibility of personalisation requirements, conditional content, and any variations needed across different markets.
  • Adapt copy across market variations within English-language briefs, applying tonal, offer-based, or contextual adjustments for different markets without losing brand consistency.
  • Explore and integrate AI tools into your copywriting workflow where they improve the speed or quality of your output, staying curious about how emerging tools can support the account's production needs.

CRM Understanding & Platform Awareness

  • Familiarity with how Adobe Campaign v8 handles personalisation and conditional content work, so your copy is always structured correctly and ready for the technical team to build from with confidence.
  • A good understanding of how CRM email templates are structured to ensure your copy consistently works within the production framework.
  • Collaborate with the CRM strategy team to understand the customer journey logic behind each send, ensuring copy serves the strategic intent.


Brand & Quality

  • Maintain a strong and consistent command of brand tone of voice across all output, adapting naturally to different communication types without losing the brand's voice.
  • Review your own work before handover, checking for accuracy, consistency, and correct personalisation labelling.


Collaboration & Studio

  • Work closely with the account team, CRM strategists, designers, and HTML developers to ensure copy moves through the production workflow smoothly and on schedule.
  • Read briefs critically and raise any questions around scope, market requirements, or creative direction early, so the wider team can align before work begins.
  • Manage your own workload across concurrent campaigns and markets, providing clear status updates and flagging capacity issues early so the team can plan around them.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different time zones, with enough autonomy that briefs from remote markets move forward without constant follow-up.


Required Experience & Skills

  • 3 to 5 years of professional copywriting experience with a strong focus on CRM, digital, or performance communications.
  • Agency, studio, or in-house CRM team background are all relevant. Experience working on consumer electronics or technology brands is a strong advantage.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates real CRM copy work across EDMs, push notifications, lifecycle emails, and digital communications at volume.
  • Solid understanding of CRM email types and how copy strategy differs across promotional, transactional, newsletter, and triggered lifecycle communications.
  • A clear and structured approach to preparing copy packages for handover, with the ability to clearly indicate personalisation requirements, conditional content, and market-specific variations.
  • Familiarity with how Adobe Campaign v8 handles personalisation and conditional content is a strong advantage.
  • A good understanding of how CRM email templates are structured is an advantage.
  • Strong command of English with the ability to write with tonal nuance across different market contexts. Experience writing for Southeast Asian or Pacific markets is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to write across different formats and content types with consistent quality, bringing the same level of craft and rigour whether the brief calls for an EDM, a push notification, a social caption, or campaign copy.
  • Familiarity with AI tools as part of your creative workflow is a strong advantage. You actively explore how these tools can improve your output and stay current as the toolset evolves.
  • A diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Linguistics, or a related field is an advantage, though equivalent professional experience and a strong portfolio will be considered equally
