ROLE:
The Executive Chef position is a senior role with responsibility for planning, directing and coordinating the kitchen operations of multiple outlets. The person is responsible for improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of the kitchens through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. He/she oversees a team of senior chefs and takes part in their development, both as effective leaders and individuals.
The Executive Chef must ensure the kitchens are running as well as they possibly can, with smooth efficient service and serving exceptional menu items that exceed the expectations of guests. They work closely with the Black Sheep Restaurants Founders and Directors. It is important to have a strong understanding of the Black Sheep Restaurants Core Principles, as well as supporting long and short term goals set by the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for planning, organizing and leading multiple kitchen outlets and operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards.
- Work with Culinary Director/s and Founders to execute the vision of each restaurant.
- Provide direction and leadership to ensure the consistent preparation of high-quality dishes and menu items.
- Ensure senior chefs are managing the kitchens to exceed standards of food quality, safety, hygiene, cleanliness and maintenance that comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Ensure senior chefs are following best practices for ordering/receiving/handling/storing dry and fresh goods.
- Implement Black Sheep Restaurants policies and procedures by developing plans, checklists and instructing the team.
- Support recruitment, training, onboarding and team development to help grow the next generation of talented chefs.
- Ensure senior chiefs are following correct protocols for hiring, right to work, part-time employment and team schedules.
- Ownership of kitchen P&Ls, inventories, budgets and cost centres.
- Continually look for ways to improve kitchen operations through alternative methods of efficiency.
- Ensure teams are driving sales to meet targets and KPIs.
- Provide two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis on motivation and teamwork.
- Build trust by understanding and believing in Black Sheep Restaurants Core Principles.
- Management reporting on sales, costs and kitchen operations at weekly management meetings.
- Manage senior payroll and adhere to labour budgets set out.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $600,000.00 per month
