The Role

Associate/AVP, Financial Accounting, Financial Management

Key Accountabilities

• Perform core financial control functions and maintain proper accounting records;
• Ledger maintenance and reconciliation control;
• Apply the relevant accounting standards to ensure accounting compliance;
• Prepare regulatory returns for the Securities and Future Commission;
• Prepare financial statements on solo and consolidated basis;
• Prepare Head Office reports and other ad hoc reports/ information as per request;
• Coordinate“国有金融资本产权登记工作”;
• Lead process workflow automation projects;
• Coordinate and facilitate the internal, external audit, regulators and Head Office enquiries as required;
• Participate in ad hoc projects or any other duties for the department.

Skills & Experience

• University graduate, preferably in accounting/finance related disciplines;
• 3-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in the financial services sector or with Big 4 background of working experience in sizable financial institutions (candidate with different experience may also be considered provided the relevant skill set is well equipped);
• Candidates with over 2 years of full time working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is considered as an advantage;
• Excellent IT automation skills (e.g. RPA, Alteryx);
• Good communication skills, including excellent spoken and written English and Mandarin;
• Good team player, with ability to cope with pressure;
• Independent, with strong motivation to learn, drive the desired result and embrace change;
• Attentive to details with good quality and accuracy;
• Qualified accountant with CPA accounting qualifications or equivalent is preferred.
