Position : Application Support Assistant Manager
Salary : RM 6,000 - RM 9,000
Location : Kepong, KL
Working Days / Time : 8.30am – 5.30pm / Mon – Fri
Job Summary
We are seeking an Application Support Assistant Manager to oversee daily application support operations, ensuring timely resolution of system issues, stable application performance, and high customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to independently manage complex support issues while coordinating across multiple teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of the Application Support team (Domestic, International, and Software Specialist groups) to ensure efficient issue resolution and service quality
- Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance targets and continuous improvement
- Handle incident, problem, and change management processes in compliance with IT policies and SLAs
- Apply strong analytical and decision-making skills to resolve complex application issues and provide effective recommendations
- Collaborate with Sales, IT Support, and Development teams to enhance system performance and customer experience
- Monitor application performance, analyze trends, and prepare regular operational and management reports
- Develop, maintain, and improve support procedures, documentation, user guides, and knowledge base materials
- Manage team schedules and on-call arrangements to ensure continuous support coverage
- Support initiatives to reduce recurring issues and improve system stability and operational efficiency
- Provide timely updates to management and stakeholders on key issues, system performance, and support activities
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in application support or IT operations, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM), including incident, problem, and change management processes
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ticketing systems, application support tools, and monitoring platforms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make sound independent decisions
- Good coordination skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
