Ensure all maintenance and overhaul activities comply with approved manuals and relevant aviation authority requirements.
Implement, maintain, and continuously improve AS9110/9120 Quality Management Systems, including SOPs, policies, manuals, and audit support.
Ensure all airworthiness data (National Aviation Authorities, OEM, customer manuals) are available, up‑to‑date, and accessible to staff.
Respond to audits (internal & external), implement corrective and preventive actions, and ensure timely closure of Non Conformance Reports.
Lead, supervise, and guide technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient, safe, and cost‑effective repair/overhaul operations.
Optimize workshop performance in cost, turnaround time (TAT), manpower efficiency, productivity, and system utilization.
Ensure accurate and efficient use of IT systems for planning, maintenance execution, traceability, and reporting.
Oversee proper storage, handling, and housekeeping of tools, parts, materials, and equipment.
Ensure all worksheets, work cards, and maintenance documentation comply with authorities and company standards.
Establish and maintain a clear organizational structure to support operational and regulatory requirements.
Ensure adequate, competent, and properly trained personnel for planning, performing, inspecting, and certifying work.
Ensure personnel are trained on the latest methods, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Implement and enforce human factors requirements, including duty time limits.
Ensure workshop facilities, tools, and equipment are suitable, available, maintained, and calibrated according to OEM and authorities’ requirements.
Oversee proper storage facilities for parts, tools, equipment, and materials.
Ensure safe and healthy working conditions, including proper PPE availability and usage.
Assess manpower availability against workload.
Plan and execute contingency actions, including engaging approved subcontractors when needed.
Ensure effective workload distribution across technicians and support staff.
Ensure consistent usage of standard work cards or worksheets across the workshop per authorities’ requirements.
Ensure IT systems for maintenance, planning, and reporting are used effectively and accurately.
Prepare for and support customer and authority audits.
Communicate operational issues, resource limitations, and quality matters promptly to the Accountable Manager and relevant stakeholders.
Ensure handover plans, delegation of duties, and operational continuity measures are in place during absence.
Perform other duties reasonably assigned from time to time by the Company.
Secondary Responsibilities
Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to all workshop personnel.
Plan and implement continuous training programs to maintain staff competency and regulatory compliance.
Perform Competence Assessment in a timely manner for relevant staff.
Manage consumables used by Workshop personnel.
Liaise with stakeholders (Repair Sales, Customer Support, Planning, Procurement, Technical Services etc) in ensuring components are released in a timely manner.
Liaise with Training Coordinator in maintaining complete and up‑to‑date training records.
Ensure cost of Manhours is controlled.
Lead discussions and resolution of safety and environmental issues
Qualifications
Degree in Aviation, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong organisational, and coordination skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and training record systems.
Proactive mindset with continuous improvement orientation.
Experience
Experience in aviation workshop environment, especially on structure repair.
Working knowledge of Part 145 requirements.
Experience in a CAAM / EASA / FAA-approved Part 145 organization.
Familiarity with audit preparation and regulatory interactions.
Experience in managing Part 145 workshop organization.
