Job Description

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Hardware installation and basic configuration in production and staging environments (HP servers, network and storage equipment).  
  • Break-Fix activities such as diagnosis of servers and replacement of faulty parts (swapping PSU, Memory, Hard disks, mother boards etc.) 
  • The candidate should have experience in IMAC (Install, Move, Access and Change) Maintain, update, plan and install servers and network equipments. 
  • The candidate should have experience in data center related - Physical build / troubleshooting / best practices, etc. 
  • Must have solid understanding of Power/Cooling in the data center  
  • Identify hardware issues, work with vendors to resolve them  
  • Handle trouble tickets related to system maintenance and repair.  
  • Keep inventory system up-to-date, provide timely updates on inventory levels for spare parts and misc items  
  • Manage site growth by keeping things organized  
  • Responsible for SLAs for projects, HW repairs, installations for the team  
  • Be able to mulit task across projects and tight timelines while maintaining efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Experience in ITIL methodologies in daily ************* Change, Incident, Problem management, release management and CMDB. 
  • Upgrades servers, hardware while maintaining established standards and NERC compliance regulations Coordinates with vendor and applies data storage, backup, and server patches and fixes. 
  • Monitors and maintains backup, restore, and storage infrastructure. 
  • Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported. 

 

 

Experience and Qualifications Required 

  • 3+ years as a lead position in a data center operations/engineering team.  
  • Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills and the ability to communicate and interact with all team members. 
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will frequently work on this own in the Data Center.  
  • Knowledge of ITIL servers is preferred, and experience in handling HP servers required.
