We are seeking a highly experienced Revit Design Detailer to support detailed design and documentation for modular / steel-based projects. You will work closely with an Australian design and engineering team in a collaborative BIM environment, producing accurate and constructible models and drawings. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented designer with strong Revit skills, proven experience in steel or modular construction, and the confidence to ask questions, clarify requirements, and proactively communicate with the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Revit models and detailed drawings for modular, steel, and services-heavy projects.

Create and modify Revit families, ensuring they meet project standards and are efficient for reuse.

Produce structural and services documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, and shop/detail drawings as required.

Coordinate and review models in a shared BIM / collaboration environment (e.g. BIM 360), checking interfaces with other disciplines.

Interpret engineering and architectural inputs to produce clear and accurate design details.

Follow and apply company templates, standards, and checklists to maintain quality and consistency.

Communicate regularly with the Australian design team to clarify scope, resolve design issues, and flag potential conflicts.

Maintain high standards of accuracy, buildability, and documentation quality within agreed timelines.

Required Experience & Skills

5+ years’ experience as a Revit Detailer / Revit Technician / Revit Designer

Preference for candidates closer to 10 years’ experience in relevant roles.

Strong, hands-on Revit proficiency, including:

Family creation and modification

Complex model management

Detailed documentation output

Experience with Modular or Steel construction (highly preferred):

Steel framing, connections, and structural detailing

Understanding of constructability in steel or modular projects

Demonstrated experience working from and interpreting engineering / architectural documentation.

Ability to work daily hours aligned with NSW or WA time zones (AU).

Strong communication skills in English, including the ability to:

Ask clarifying questions early and often

Admit when something is unclear and seek guidance

Collaborate effectively with a remote, multi-disciplinary team.

Highly Regarded (Nice to Have)

Experience with Advance Steel (or similar steel detailing software).

Experience working in BIM 360 or other common data environment / shared BIM collaboration platforms.

Background in steel form construction and services-heavy industrial or infrastructure projects.
