At Handshakes, you will learn both manual testing and automation hands-on, working alongside experienced engineers in an agile team. No prior work experience is required. We value curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
What You Will Do
- Learn to read and understand product requirements and API specifications
- Write and execute test cases to verify that features work as expected
- Perform exploratory and regression testing before releases
- Log bugs clearly with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and expected vs actual results
- Participate in agile ceremonies — sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Learn to test REST APIs using tools like Postman
- Be introduced to test automation using Playwright and TypeScript
- Maintain test cases and track execution in a test management tool (Zephyr Scale)
What We Are Looking For
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of software development and the software testing lifecycle (SDLC / STLC)
- Familiarity with any programming language (TypeScript / JavaScript is a plus)
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills — you notice the details others miss
- Strong written communication for documenting test cases and defect reports
- A team player who is proactive and eager to grow
Good to Have (Not Required)
- Any exposure to Playwright, Selenium, or other automation tools
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs and HTTP concepts
- Experience with Git or version control
- Any internship or personal project experience in QA or development
What You Will Learn on the Job
- End-to-end QA process in an agile environment
- API testing and response validation
- Test automation with Playwright and TypeScript
- Framework design patterns (Page Object Model)
- Test reporting with Allure and test management with Zephyr Scale
- Working with real-world financial data and business intelligence APIs
** Work Arrangement - 3 days work in office on hybrid working as per company policy.
