Job Summary
We are looking for a System Support Engineer to support and maintain web-based applications within a cloud environment. This role focuses on Level 3 support, troubleshooting complex issues, implementing fixes, and ensuring system stability and performance. You will work closely with development and product teams to enhance system reliability and deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 (L3) application support and ensure issues are resolved within SLA
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs in existing web and cloud-based applications
- Analyze and implement change requests from business or product teams
- Perform unit testing and system integration testing for fixes and enhancements
- Participate in security and penetration testing, and implement required fixes
- Maintain and support applications post-implementation
- Participate in on-call or rotation support, including off-hours when required
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents and delivery of assigned tasks
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in Java (Java EE) and web application support
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring or Grails is an advantage
- Good knowledge of relational databases
- Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and web services
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple issues simultaneously
- Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese (spoken and written) is required.
