Summary

Tool Install hook up level 1 network tech to support infrastructure deployments in large semiconductor facility under construction.

Individual will work under the guidance of the senior contract network engineer while also working closely with the site network team.

They will be the goto person for tool install in support of network infrastructure during the manufacturing tool install ramp roadmap.

Configurations and execution documents will be provided mainly by onsite IT team. The person should be capable of delivering to a high standard despite constraints that may be in place,

while strong troubleshooting, sense of ownership and communications skills will be key to the role.

Core Skills

· Network Topology / VLAN / IP addressing understanding

· Troubleshooting tool install / Network fluke Tester use

· Disciplined to Maintain up to date inventory of all network devices and associated assets and databases

· Asset tagging / Asset Database / Asset inventory

· Knowledge and experience in structured cabling, wire-management

· Be able to analyse and troubleshoot basic network problems up to an intermediate level.

· Plan and schedule daily tasks according to priority and severity; Use sound judgment on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices; Seek insistence from colleagues where it is required

· Follow directions from manufacturing network team support to fix the issues that require physical handling of any relevant equipment.

· Read, understand, and follow basic N/W network problem diagnosis.

· Maintain switched network environments.

· Ensure that all incidents and requests for Networks are logged, resolved and the tickets correctly closed in Event Management System.

· Endeavour to fix and close all calls assigned to the Networks queues within SLA.

· Participate in Project based assignments if required.

· Perform works or troubleshooting during after office hours when require.

· Perform Overtime job during weekends / public holidays when require (usually for urgent tool landing ramping)

· Ensure quality of works from other vendor. Eg. Check cabling work quality which include but not limited to labelling, cable run/route tidiness, and BCR/SCR/SCC cleanliness after cabling works done. Escalate to cabling vendor management or Network team to get attentions when needed.

Requirement

· At least 1 years’ experience in a similar position is desirable

· Understanding and use of basic cisco commands for basis troubleshooting navigation

· CCNA or studying towards CCNA certification is desirable.
