About the role

Join the growing team at EC Healthcare as a Laboratory Director. This is a full-time position based in the Causeway Bay Wan Chai District. As the Laboratory Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations and strategic direction of the company's laboratory facilities. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring efficient, high-quality laboratory services that support the organisation's objectives within the Science & Technology and Laboratory & Technical Services industry.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including staff supervision, resource allocation, and quality assurance

• Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards

• Oversee the procurement of laboratory equipment, supplies, and reagents to ensure the laboratory is well-equipped and functioning at optimal capacity

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address laboratory workflow and efficiency improvements

• Analyse laboratory data and generate reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives

• Lead the training and development of laboratory staff to enhance their skills and knowledge

• Represent the laboratory and act as a subject matter expert in stakeholder meetings and external forums

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of experience in a senior laboratory management or director role, preferably within the healthcare or life sciences industry

• Extensive knowledge of laboratory operations, quality control, and regulatory compliance requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address laboratory challenges

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and implementing innovative laboratory solutions

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific or laboratory-related field, such as biochemistry, microbiology, or biomedical science
