About Neuports

Neuports is the digital freight forwarder for Malaysian SMEs. We move cargo across the China–Malaysia corridor and out to global export markets: FCL, LCL, and Air, through an AI-native platform that replaces manual WhatsApp chasing, three-day quote turnarounds, and surcharge surprises with instant quotes, end-to-end booking and shipment management, and a 24/7 dashboard where every shipment, document, and invoice lives in one place.


Behind the scenes, we handle the same operational and compliance work any serious forwarder does: customs, carrier relationships, port-side coordination, documentation, except we automate what legacy forwarders still do by hand. Quotes that take competitors three days take us seconds. Documents get parsed automatically instead of keyed in twice. Shipment milestones flow into our customers' dashboards in real time, not into a WhatsApp group at the end of the day.


Here's the gap we exist to close. A multinational shipping out of Port Klang gets enterprise tools, dedicated account managers, and rates negotiated in war rooms. A Malaysian SME shipping the same container, often on the same vessel, gets a clipboard, a WhatsApp text, and a surcharge surprise at the gate.

About You

You're a freight operator who's been quietly frustrated that an industry this big still runs on WhatsApp, spreadsheets, and gut-feel pricing. You can see where this is going. You want to be on the right side of it.


You’re a hunter, not a farmer. You generate your own pipeline, you know closing velocity matters as much as deal size, and you can take a tech product and make a non-technical SME owner go “Oh, wow, finally!”


You’re tech-forward. You don’t think AI is hype, you think it’s leverage.


You have the track record to back it up, sales or business development experience at a freight forwarding or logistics company, with closed deals you can defend. You're self-driven and comfortable in ambiguity, but also a team player when it matters: quick to respond, quick to decide, quick to roll up your sleeves. You want to work with smart people, have fun, and build something that matters.


What you'll own

  • Take our live product to market across Malaysia - own pipeline generation, qualification, demo, close, and expansion, end to end
  • Hit and beat aggressive monthly and quarterly bookings targets - we measure pipeline coverage, win rate, and closing velocity, not seat-time
  • Build the SME freight sales playbook for this market - what messaging lands, what objections come up, what verticals close fastest. We’ll back what works with marketing and ops investment
  • Run discovery and demos that turn skeptical, traditionally-served shippers into believers (and customers)
  • Drive expansion post-close -grow shipment volume, expand wallet share across FCL, LCL, and Air, and turn early customers into case studies and referrals
  • Feed the product team relentlessly - what features close deals, what blockers kill them. Direct line to founders and engineering
  • Lead commercial and strategic negotiations to secure best possible business clients and partnerships to help company achieve profitability targets
  • Actively monitor NPS across segments, implementing initiatives to enhance client satisfactory across all accounts
  • Provide insightful feedback to management, leveraging customer feedback to drive improvement
  • Actively involved in defining the go-to-market / sales strategy with the management


What we’re looking for

  • Proven 3+ years of client facing sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain environment
  • A demonstrable track record - deals named, revenue numbers you can defend in an interview
  • An existing SME shipper relationships in Malaysia
  • Trilingual: English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin - the China–Malaysia corridor demands all three, daily
  • Comfort with modern sales tooling - CRMs, sequencing tools, analytics dashboards, and an appetite to keep learning


Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, marketing or a related field
  • Proven expertise in freight forwarding and logistics is essential, including rates negotiation, pricing, routing, selling process and operational requirements
  • Proven sales track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. Freight forwarding sales is a must
