We are looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator to manage, maintain, and support enterprise Linux infrastructure and virtualization environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Linux administration, system troubleshooting, server maintenance, and virtualization technologies to ensure high system availability, stability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, manage, and maintain Linux server environments including Oracle Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrading, and troubleshooting of Linux servers.
- Monitor system performance, server health, and infrastructure availability.
- Manage virtualization platforms and support virtual machine provisioning, maintenance, and optimization.
- Perform system backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Troubleshoot system, network, and application-related issues within Linux environments.
- Support system security hardening, access control, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams for deployment and operational support.
- Handle incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
- Provide support for planned maintenance, upgrades, and infrastructure implementation activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–6 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration.
- Strong experience in:
- Oracle Linux
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Virtualization technologies
- Experience in server administration, performance tuning, and system monitoring.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, or related technologies.
- Good understanding of:
- Linux system architecture
- Shell scripting
- System security
- Backup and recovery processes
- Experience troubleshooting enterprise-level Linux infrastructure issues.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automation and scripting tools
- Knowledge of cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools
- Experience supporting production-critical systems
