Systems Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Systems Analyst to support global logistics technology platforms across Supplier Management and Shipping Solutions.

This role is more technical than a traditional Business Analyst position. The Systems Analyst will focus on system behaviour, data flows, API integrations, routing logic, carrier onboarding, tracking events, label generation logic and platform consistency across regions.

You will translate technical and operational requirements into clear Jira tickets, specifications, diagrams and acceptance criteria, enabling Developers, QA, Product Owners and Business Analysts to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions.

You will work closely with Product Owners, Developers, QA Engineers, Business Analysts and Chapter Leads across an international technology organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse system behaviour, routing logic, supplier configurations and end-to-end API flows.
• Interpret JSON, XML payloads, API schemas, event sequences, data mappings and integration logic.
• Translate technical and operational needs into clear Jira tickets with detailed acceptance criteria and system context.
• Ensure Developers receive accurate technical information, including rules, data structures, dependencies and expected system behaviour.
• Create and maintain process flows, data flow diagrams, integration sequences and platform behaviour documentation.
• Map how platform components interact, including carrier APIs, routing engines, label systems, tracking events and SFTP processes.
• Identify and document system dependencies involving internal platforms, tracking services and external carriers.
• Conduct root cause analysis on defects or anomalies using payload inspection, logs and workflow tracing.
• Work with Product Owners and Business Analysts to clarify scope, confirm feasibility and ensure delivery readiness.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning and sprint reviews by explaining assumptions, risks, gaps and expected system behaviour.
• Validate Developer output against acceptance criteria and system expectations.
• Prepare system-level test cases covering API responses, routing decisions, carrier onboarding, data validation and edge cases.
• Support QA teams by explaining expected behaviour, data structures and integration scenarios.
• Assist with carrier or retailer onboarding by reviewing documentation, payloads, routing logic, labels and event flows.
• Log defects and improvement needs in Jira with clear reproduction steps and technical details.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of analysis practices, documentation standards and Agile delivery processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong systems analysis experience in technical or platform-driven environments.
• Ability to understand and document complex system behaviour, integrations and data flows.
• Experience interpreting JSON, XML, API flows, integration rules and data mappings.
• Strong experience writing clear Jira tickets, acceptance criteria and technical documentation.
• Experience creating process flows, data flow diagrams or integration documentation.
• Good understanding of Agile delivery practices and collaboration with Developers, QA, Product Owners and Business Analysts.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking and root cause analysis skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-region environment.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Nice to Have

• Experience in logistics, parcel delivery, shipping, e-commerce, postal operations or commercial systems.
• Experience with carrier onboarding, carrier APIs, routing logic, tracking events or label generation systems.
• Knowledge of multi-carrier label systems and event standardisation.
• Experience with cross-border systems or multi-region operations.
• Familiarity with large-scale API integrations.
• Experience analysing global carrier systems.
• Background in pricing, quotation, costing or supplier management platforms.
• Relevant degree or analysis-related qualification.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be analytical, structured and detail-oriented, with a strong interest in understanding how systems work and explaining them clearly.

You should be comfortable writing precise, well-structured Jira tickets and documentation that Developers and Testers can act on confidently.

You will be a strong communicator who can translate business needs into functional and technical language, while ensuring technical feasibility, platform consistency and delivery clarity.

You should also be collaborative, proactive and solution-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and business value.
