Job Summary

The Project Director is responsible for overseeing the overall operation of aluminium and glazing projects, including business development, sales generation, project execution, cost control, client management, and team coordination. The role requires strong leadership in managing project delivery while actively bringing in new sales opportunities and expanding the company’s client network.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales

• Identify and secure new aluminium, façade, glazing, and metalwork projects
• Develop relationships with developers, architects, consultants, main contractors, and direct clients
• Attend business meetings, networking events, and site visits to generate leads
• Prepare and present company capabilities and project proposals
• Work closely with the estimating/tender team on quotations and project submissions
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
• Expand company market presence in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors

2. Project Management

• Oversee multiple aluminium and façade projects from award to completion
• Monitor project schedule, budget, quality, and manpower allocation
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• Ensure smooth site operations and timely project delivery
• Resolve technical, operational, and contractual issues
• Conduct project progress meetings and site inspections

3. Contract & Cost Control

• Review contracts, project specifications, and technical drawings
• Monitor project costing, variation orders (VO), and profitability
• Ensure proper progress claims and payment collection
• Manage procurement and supplier negotiations
• Minimize project risks and control unnecessary costs

4. Team Leadership

• Lead and supervise project managers, engineers, QS, coordinators, and site staff
• Provide guidance, training, and performance management
• Improve team coordination and operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with company SOP and safety requirements

5. Technical & Compliance

• Ensure aluminium works comply with project specifications, authority requirements, and safety regulations
• Coordinate shop drawings, material submissions, mock-ups, and approvals
• Ensure quality control for fabrication and installation works
• Support troubleshooting for technical and installation issues

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in aluminium, façade, glazing, or construction industry
• Strong network with contractors, developers, and consultants
• Proven experience in bringing in sales/projects
• Good leadership and negotiation skills
• Able to manage both business development and project execution
• Familiar with local authority requirements and construction processes

• Strong communication and client management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Experience in aluminium curtain wall, windows, doors, cladding, or façade systems
