Position Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and supporting the overall sales pipeline through proactive outreach. This role focuses on engaging prospects via phone, email, social platforms, and digital tools to understand customer needs and position suitable solutions. The ideal candidate is energetic, customer-focused, and results-driven with strong communication and organizational skills.
1. Sales Support & Opportunity Qualification
Understand customer pain points, requirements, and buying intent.
Schedule appointments, demos, or meetings for the field sales or business development team.
Ensure smooth handover of qualified leads to sales managers.
2. Deal pursuit and Bid Desk Support
Collaborating with presales and delivery to build business case for each sales opportunity
Present solutions at a high level and position value propositions clearly
Support pre and post sales contract management (including business enablement support such as bank guarantee facilitation)
3. Customer Engagement
Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and follow up on marketing-generated leads.
Provide product/service information and always maintain professional communication.
Build rapport with prospects to increase conversion confidence.
4. CRM & Data Management
Record all interactions, lead status, and sales activities accurately in CRM systems.
Maintain clean and updated data to support forecasting and sales analytics.
Monitor KPIs such as call volume, email outreach, conversion rates, and meeting bookings.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
1–3 years of experience in inside sales, telemarketing, lead generation, or customer engagement preferred.
Experience in B2B sales, IT services, SaaS, or technology solutions is advantageous (customizable).
Skills & Competencies
Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is a prerequisite.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High level of customer focus and ability to build quick rapport.
Good understanding of sales processes and qualification techniques.
Comfortable with outbound calling and digital outreach tools.
Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce etc.) is a plus.
Organized, disciplined, and able to manage multiple leads simultaneously.
