Responsibilities & Duties

• Site Preparation & Cleanup: Cleaning hazards, setting up scaffolding, bracing, and erecting temporary structures.
• Material Handling: Loading/unloading, transporting, and distributing building materials (e.g., bricks, concrete) using wheelbarrows or heavy machinery.
• Labour Assistance: Mixing concrete, digging trenches, backfilling holes, and assisting carpenters or plumbers.
• Tool/Machine Operation: Operating tools like jackhammers, drills, and grinders; operating heavy equipment like forklifts or skid loaders.

Job Requirements & Skills

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and perform heavy manual labor in all weather conditions, often for long hours.
• Experience & Knowledge: Typically requires 1+ years of experience in construction or related fields, with knowledge of, or willingness to learn, safety protocols.
• Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
• Education & Certification: A high school diploma or GED is often preferred, along with specialized safety certifications (like a Construction Skills Certification Scheme card).
• Soft Skills: Reliability, punctuality, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team setting.
