Job Summary
The Logistics, Inventory & Customer Interface Track Leader plans and coordinates logistics, scheduling, inventory management, and customer interactions within the terminal to ensure efficient operations, accurate inventory control, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate vessel berthing schedules and jetty operations to maximize terminal efficiency and minimize delays
- Manage truck loading and unloading schedules to ensure timely and smooth operations
- Act as the primary liaison between customers, operations teams, and stakeholders to facilitate communication and issue resolution
- Oversee inventory management by monitoring stock levels, product movements, and performing reconciliations to maintain accuracy
- Ensure accurate product accounting, documentation, and timely reporting to support operational transparency
- Collaborate with operations teams to assess feasibility and ensure safe execution of scheduled activities
- Optimize terminal capacity, tank utilization, and turnaround times for vessels and trucks to improve throughput
- Monitor and control logistics-related costs, including minimizing demurrage charges
- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as shipping agents, surveyors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and smooth operations
- Enforce adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (SSHEQ) within all logistics activities
- Prepare and submit periodic reports detailing logistics performance and inventory status for management review
- Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions
- Support billing verification and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and accountability
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a logistics management role within the oil, petrochemical, or related industry, or at least 10 years in scheduling or inventory coordination roles.
- Strong knowledge of vessel, jetty, and truck scheduling operations.
- Familiarity with inventory management and product accounting systems.
- Good understanding of terminal operations and constraints.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven with excellent planning and organizational abilities.
