Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing Executive based in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The Purchasing Executive will be responsible for creating and managing purchase orders, handling purchase requisitions, and overseeing procurement activities. Key responsibilities include supplier coordination, maintaining purchasing records, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and negotiating favorable terms with vendors. The role will support effective communication across teams to streamline purchasing operations and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in handling Purchase Orders (PO), Purchase Requisitions (PR), and overall Purchase Management
• Good understanding of procurement processes and best practices
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal departments
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills to support informed purchasing decisions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate documentation and process management
• Ability to plan and align procurement activities with production requirements
• Ensure timely procurement to avoid delays in operations across related departments
• Familiarity with the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry is an added advantage
• Diploma or degree in any science related field
