Responsibilities

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Android Mobile App Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications. You should be proficient in Java and Kotlin, with a good understanding of modern mobile app architecture and best practices. Experience with hybrid frameworks (e.g., Flutter) and exposure to healthcare or related applications will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • App Development: Design, build, and maintain Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
  • Feature Enhancement: Collaborate with product and design teams to enhance existing app features and improve user experience.
  • API Integration: Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs for seamless app functionality.
  • Performance Optimization: Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and security of applications across different devices.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following coding standards and best practices.
  • Testing & Debugging: Conduct thorough testing, identify bugs, and implement solutions promptly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers, backend developers, and QA teams to ensure cohesive app delivery.
  • Hybrid Development (Good to Have): Contribute to cross-platform development using Flutter or other hybrid frameworks.
  • Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, release notes, and version control using Git.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Android app development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
  • Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, and modern Android architecture (MVVM, Jetpack, etc.).
  • Experience integrating APIs, Firebase, and push notifications.
  • Basic understanding of hybrid app development (Flutter preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Good to have: Prior experience developing healthcare or wellness-related applications.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Flutter or other hybrid frameworks.
  • Familiarity with mobile security, data encryption, and compliance standards (e.g., PDPA, HIPAA).
  • Exposure to Google Play deployment and app lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
