Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on and responsible Utility Technician to support daily utility operations and maintenance activities. The role is responsible for assisting in the operation, inspection, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance of utility equipment such as boilers, chillers, air compressors, pumps, motors, air-conditioning / FCU systems and gensets.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily operation, inspection and monitoring of utility equipment such as boiler, chiller, air compressor, genset, pump, motor, air-conditioning and FCU systems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, installation and repair works for equipment under the Utility Department.
- Ensure utility systems are operating in safe, stable and optimized conditions.
- Identify equipment abnormalities, defects or emergency situations and take necessary corrective action or escalate to superior.
- Assist in troubleshooting and identifying solutions for utility-related issues.
- Support annual maintenance, improvement works and any assigned project activities.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and ensure 5S practices are followed.
- Ensure all maintenance records, checklists and related documents are properly completed and maintained according to company requirements.
- Follow company safety rules, HSE policy, procedures and regulations at all times.
- Be prepared for on-call support or urgent breakdown support when required.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by superior from time to time.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in utility, maintenance or manufacturing environment.
- Experience or basic knowledge in boiler, chiller, air compressor, genset, pump and motor maintenance will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge in air-conditioning system / FCU operation is an added advantage.
- Able to perform troubleshooting and hands-on maintenance work.
- Able to work independently, follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Good attitude, responsible, safety-conscious and willing to learn.
- Willing to work in Pasir Gudang, Johor.
