Sustainability & Safety Supervisor

Key responsibility and duties:

Sustainability
• To guide the plantation management operating units towards complying with sustainable palm oil requirement
• To prepare, coordinate and monitor the implementation of the sustainability management action plan
• To conduct internal audit on the plantation management operating units against sustainable palm oil certification requirement such as MSPO, RSPO and ISCC
• To involve in the preparation, review and implementation on the company management plan such as EIA, SIA, HCV, Water Management Plan, etc.
• To provide training to the operating units on safety, environment, social and other related sustainability practices
• To assist on the compilation of data for the preparation of the GHG calculation for the company.
• To coordinate for stakeholder engagement with government dept., NGOs, relevant bodies, neighbouring estates, etc.
• To assist on liaising with the external stakeholder such as government agencies and NGOs for environmental and social awareness programme

Safety
• To implement and enforce company Safe Operating Procedures at mill and estate
• To implement and enforce company safety, health and hygiene policy
• To implement and achieve company safety, health and hygiene objectives
• To enforce OSHA 1994 laws and regulations and requirements under RSPO and MSPO principle’s and criteria
• To conduct trainings, accident investigation
• To advise estate on matters related to safety and health

Requirement:
• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Environmental Science / Conservation / Forestry / Safety / Sustainable Plantation Management and/or any other related field
• Basic understanding and/or knowledge on the sustainability certification such as MSPO, RSPO & ISCC
• Basic understanding and/or knowledge in practical implementation of sustainable practices on the ground
• Knowledge in OSHA 1994, OSH Management System
• Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills in both Bahasa and English (verbal & written) and able to engage with people
• Positive attitude, self-starter, confident and able to work independently with minimal supervision
