Shift-Based Production Management
· Oversee full operation of production lines during assigned 12-hour shifts.
· Ensure daily output meets production plan and line performance targets.
· Supervise proper start-up, changeover, and shutdown procedures of machines.
2. Line Performance Monitoring
· Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs):
o OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
o Yield and Material Usage
o Downtime and Runtime Efficiency
· Analyze line data hourly to detect trends or performance drops.
· Lead continuous improvement projects for line speed, waste reduction, and productivity.
3. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) & Corrective Action
· Investigate issues such as:
o Production delays
o Quality defects
o Machine failures
o Safety incidents
· Conduct structured RCA using 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, or similar tools.
· Document findings and lead the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
· Monitor effectiveness of solutions over time and report back in KPI meetings.
4. Compliance & Food Safety
· Ensure adherence to food safety standards: HACCP, GMP, and FSSC 22000.
· Maintain accurate shift documentation: CCP records, batch reports, cleaning logs.
· Coordinate with QA/QC for line release, product sampling, and incident response.
5. People Leadership
· Supervise and guide operators, machine operators, and line leaders.
· Conduct pre-shift briefings, task allocation, and team motivation.
· Monitor operator adherence to SOPs, safety, and hygiene protocols.
· Identify training needs and conduct on-the-job coaching.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
· Work closely with Planning, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Warehouse to resolve shift-level issues.
· Coordinate minor maintenance and escalate major breakdowns to Engineering.
· Ensure proper handover between shifts using structured handover notes.
7. Reporting & Documentation
· Submit end-of-shift reports detailing output, issues, downtime, material usage, and staff attendance.
· Record deviations, non-conformities, and performance gaps accurately.

Education & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years in food production environment with supervisory experience.
Previous exposure to 12-hour or 2-shift rotational manufacturing setups.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of food production processes, packaging lines, and industrial machinery.
Proficient in using production tracking tools (e.g., ERP, MES, Excel-based dashboards).
Understanding of Lean tools, OEE, 5S, and continuous improvement.
Soft Skills
Strong team leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Excellent time management and resilience under long shift conditions.
Committed to safety, quality, and productivity balance.
Preferred Skills
Formal training in HACCP, ISO 22000, or GMP.
Experience with high-speed packaging lines (e.g., tortilla, wraps, or baked goods).
