About the role

We are seeking a Research Assistant (Pharmacist) to join our Clinical and Medical Research team at Kencana Pharma Tech Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Jitra, Kedah. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our research initiatives, contributing to the advancement of pharmaceutical science and clinical research excellence. You will work alongside our experienced research team to facilitate the design, implementation and analysis of clinical and medical research projects that drive innovation within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

What you'll be doing

• Assist in the planning, design and execution of clinical and medical research studies
• Support the preparation of research protocols and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and ethical guidelines
• Conduct literature reviews and compile research data to support ongoing studies
• Assist in recruiting, screening and coordinating with study participants and patient cohorts
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of research activities, findings and observations
• Prepare samples, solutions and pharmaceutical formulations as required for research purposes
• Contribute to the analysis and interpretation of research data under supervision
• Support the preparation of research reports, publications and presentations
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and research ethics standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including researchers, clinicians and laboratory technicians

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent pharmaceutical qualification
• Current or recently obtained Pharmacy registration or licensure
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical science, pharmacology and clinical research methodologies
• Excellent knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and ethical standards in medical research
• Proficiency in data collection, organisation and basic statistical analysis
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain meticulous documentation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative research team
• Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple research tasks simultaneously
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing clinical and pharmaceutical research is advantageous
• Experience with research software or laboratory information management systems would be beneficial
