Job Summary:

The Maintenance & Facilities personnel is responsible for ensuring that all company facilities, equipment, utilities, and building systems are properly maintained, safe, and operational. This role involves planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating with external contractors and service providers, monitoring facility-related expenses, and ensuring compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards. The position plays a key role in minimizing downtime, optimizing resources, and creating a safe, functional, and efficient workplace environment to support business operations.

岗位职责

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems (e.g., electrical, plumbing, mechanical & etc.).

  • Oversee facilities management, including building upkeep, utilities, and office/workplace conditions.

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend asset life.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or facility-related issues in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and service providers for repairs, projects, and inspections.

  • Monitor and control maintenance and facility budgets, ensuring cost efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service history, and spare parts inventory.

  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, health, and environmental regulations.

  • Support operational departments by ensuring smooth functioning of facilities and utilities.

  • Recommend improvements, upgrades, or replacements for equipment and facility infrastructure.

Pest Control Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement routine pest control measures to ensure a safe, hygienic, and pest-free environment.

  • Coordinate with licensed pest control service providers for regular inspections and treatments.

  • Monitor high-risk areas (warehouse, storage, waste disposal zones) and take corrective action where needed.

  • Maintain records of pest control activities, inspections, and compliance reports.

  • Ensure pest control practices meet health, safety, and regulatory standards.

  • Educate staff on proper hygiene and housekeeping practices to minimize pest risks.

Chemical Control Responsibilities:

  • Maintain proper inventory and safe storage of chemicals in compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Ensure correct labelling, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and documentation for all chemicals.

  • Monitor usage of chemicals to avoid misuse, spillage, or overstocking.

  • Train staff on safe handling, usage, and disposal of chemicals.

  • Implement control measures to minimize health, safety, and environmental risks.

  • Coordinate with suppliers for safe delivery and replenishment of chemicals.

  • Conduct periodic audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Calibration Responsibilities:

  • Plan and carry out scheduled calibration of measuring instruments and equipment.

  • Ensure all tools and instruments are calibrated according to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain calibration certificates, records, and traceability documentation.

  • Coordinate with accredited calibration service providers when external certification is required.

  • Identify and quarantine out-of-calibration or faulty instruments to prevent inaccurate results.

  • Support production and quality teams by ensuring reliable, accurate, and well-maintained equipment.

  • Monitor calibration schedules to prevent delays and downtime.

Ordering & Inventory of In-house Use Items:

  • Monitor stock levels of maintenance tools, cleaning materials, spare parts, PPE, and other in-house use items.

  • Prepare purchase requests and coordinate with the procurement/finance department for timely replenishment.

  • Source cost-effective and reliable suppliers while ensuring quality standards.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and track usage to avoid shortages or overstocking.

  • Implement proper storage and issuance system to ensure accountability and minimize wastage.

  • Support operational needs by ensuring essential items are always available.

Other Duties:

  • Perform any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time, based on operational needs.
