About the role

As a Junior Engineer - Mechanical & Gas System Design, you play a key role in bringing our deposition equipment to life. You will design and support sophisticated mechanical assemblies and gas handling systems that form the backbone of our technology.

With a strong sense of ownership, you will create robust, manufacturable, and compliant solutions — ensuring precise technical documentation, seamless system integration, and disciplined change management.

Your work translates engineering concepts into reliable, production-ready hardware that performs in the real world.

Qualifications & Skills

· Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

· 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in mechanical or gas system design

· Solid understanding of vacuum systems, pressure and flow fundamentals

· Proficient in three-dimensional computer-aided design tools (for example Creo)

· Experience with product lifecycle management and enterprise resource planning systems

· Knowledge of ISO, CE, SEMI and applicable safety standards

· Strong analytical mindset with structured problem-solving capability

· High ownership, accountability and ability to coordinate technical work packages

Fluent English

Responsibilities

·       Design complete mechanical assemblies and vacuum/gas handling layouts for standard configurations 

·       Integrate exhaust, vacuum, heating and temperature control components according to requirements 

·       Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles 

·       Select and handle appropriate materials including metals, graphite, ceramics, quartz and coatings 

·       Apply structured problem-solving methods such as root cause analysis and eight discipline methodology 

·       Create clear, review-ready technical drawings, specifications and change documentation in English 

·       Support failure mode and effects analysis and structured risk assessments 

·       Manage engineering changes, part structures and revisions in product lifecycle management and enterprise resource planning systems 

·       Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure manufacturability, cost awareness and system integration
