Description
We are seeking a skilled Mandarin Interpreter to join our team remotely in Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will have 1-10 years of experience in interpretation, providing support for effective communication between Mandarin-speaking clients and our English-speaking teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and culturally appropriate interpretation services for Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders.
- Assist in translating written materials from Mandarin to English and vice versa as needed.
- Facilitate communication between Mandarin-speaking individuals and English-speaking team members in various settings, including meetings and conferences.
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all interpreting assignments.
- Maintain a high level of proficiency in both Mandarin and English, keeping abreast of any changes in language use and industry terminology.
Skills and Qualifications
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, both spoken and written.
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances and context in Mandarin-speaking regions.
- Proven experience in interpretation or translation is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to convey complex information accurately and effectively.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time efficiently.
- Familiarity with interpretation tools and technology is a plus.
