Qualifications
* Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, or equivalent.
* Minimum 3–5 years of culinary experience, with at least 1–2 years as a Demi Chef de Partie or equivalent.
* Experience in luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, or high-volume premium establishments is preferred.
* Food safety and hygiene certification (HACCP/Food Handler Certification).
Technical Skills
* Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
* Ability to independently manage an assigned kitchen section (hot kitchen, cold kitchen, pastry, butcher, garde manger, etc.).
* Knowledge of international cuisine; specialty cuisine experience is an advantage.
* Understanding of recipe standardization, portion control, and food costing.
* Experience with inventory management and stock rotation (FIFO).
* Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
* Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion size.
* Supervise and train Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned section.
* Monitor food quality and freshness while minimizing waste.
* Assist in menu development, recipe testing, and seasonal promotions.
* Ensure all mise en place is completed before service.
* Coordinate effectively with other kitchen sections during service.
* Report equipment issues and maintain kitchen safety standards.
* Support the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Pay: From RM1,700.00 per month
