We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Commis 1 to join our production team. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene, and support the smooth operation of the kitchen while ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and food products according to standard recipes and production schedules.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow HACCP, GMP, and food safety procedures at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of any shortages.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating raw materials using the FIFO system.
- Minimise food wastage and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
- Support production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Chef or Production Supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Commis or in a similar kitchen role.
- Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP, and GMP practices is preferred.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Good teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM2,900.00 per month
