Resident Architect (Site)

Role Purpose
To provide full-time on-site architectural supervision, ensuring construction works comply with approved design intent, drawings, specifications, statutory requirements, and contract conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and control all architectural works on site.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, materials, samples, and mock-ups.
• Act as the primary architectural authority and interface on site.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineer, M&E Inspectors, Clerk of Works, and contractors.
• Review and endorse architectural shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements.
• Monitor workmanship quality, finishes, and installations against approved standards.
• Identify and resolve architectural defects, non-compliances, and coordination issues.
• Issue architectural clarifications and site instructions as required.
• Monitor progress, report risks, and support progress claims, variations, and EOT assessments.
• Maintain architectural quality records, defect lists, and rectification reports.

Reporting Line
Reports to the Project Manager and coordinates closely with the Resident Engineer.

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture.
• Registered with Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM).
• Minimum 3-5 years relevant architectural site experience.
• Have experience working with consulting firm will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, materials, finishes, and statutory requirements.
• Proven ability to manage site coordination, quality control, and design intent compliance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM9,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kuching: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
