Key Responsibilities of a Retail Assistant:
Customer Service:
- Welcoming customers and providing assistance with finding items.
- Answering customer inquiries and resolving issues.
- Providing product information and making recommendations.
Sales and Transactions:
- Processing sales transactions, including cash and card payments.
- Understanding and promoting current sales, promotions, and loyalty programs.
- Ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout process.
Store Operations:
- Maintaining the store's appearance and cleanliness.
- Restocking shelves and arranging merchandise.
- Monitoring activities within the store.
- Assisting with inventory management and stock replenishment.
Other Duties:
- Following company policies and procedures.
- Completing daily opening and closing tasks.
- Ensuring products are safely packaged and properly distributed.
- Carrying out periodic inventory audits.
- Organizing the stockroom or warehouse.
