Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes, and bakery items
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
- Assist in daily pastry kitchen operations and production planning
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
- Monitor ingredient quality, stock levels, and minimize wastage
- Support seasonal menu development and creative dessert presentation
Technical Responsibilities:
- Skilled in pastry, baking, cake decoration, and dessert preparation
- Knowledge of various baking techniques and pastry equipment
- Familiar with chocolate work, bread making, and plated desserts
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in pastry or bakery operations
- Experience in hotel or restaurant environment preferred
- Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about pastry arts
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
