Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical
    qualification.
  • Open to fresh graduates; candidates with experience in roadworks, infrastructure, or
    construction projects will have an advantage.
  • Knowledge of road construction methods, materials, and relevant standards is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel to various project sites.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:
The Site Supervisor (Roadworks) is responsible for conducting regular site visits to monitor and inspect
roadwork activities, ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings,
and safety standards. This role also involves reporting project progress, preparing site reports, and
coordinating with consultants, clients, and relevant authorities for progress claims and project completion
matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage construction activities at the site, ensuring adherence to project
    specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure
    compliance with engineering and design requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Architects, and Subcontractors to ensure timely
    project completion.
  • Analyse and interpret engineering plans, aerial photography, blueprints, topographical and
    geologic data, and technical drawings to plan and execute construction activities.
  • Coordinate the procurement and delivery of construction materials, ensuring compliance with
    industry standards.
  • Identify potential risks and implement preventive measures to minimise project delays, costoverruns, and safety hazards.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, change orders,
    and quality control measures.
  • Organize materials and ensure worksites are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
  • Prepare cost estimates and ensure appropriate materials, manpower, and tools are available.
  • Provide technical advice and suggestions for project improvement.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot site or equipment issues as required.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure cost-effective contracts.
  • Develop and adjust work schedules; communicate changes to team members and clients.
  • Gather data, compile reports, and deliver presentations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and organize meetings or training sessions when required.
  • Complete quality assurance activities and provide constructive feedback to the project team.
