Mini Chef Adventures — Cooking Instructor & Assistant (Part-Time Weekend)

Location: Kinderbridge · Alexandra Central, Singapore

Mini Chef Adventures is a weekend cooking programme where kids aged 5 to 12 cook a different dish from scratch every session, using real ingredients and real techniques in a kitchen built just for them.

We are currently hiring for two roles — Cooking Instructor and Cooking Assistant. Please read through both and indicate which you are applying for when you reach out.

Cooking Instructor

Pay: $20 – $30 per class

What the role involves:

You will lead weekend cooking sessions (Saturday and Sunday) at our purpose-built kids' kitchen at Kinderbridge. Each session is 1.5 hours with up to 15 students. You will work alongside an assistant who supports you throughout. Full session guides are provided covering the recipe, delivery approach, and timing. Your job is to deliver the session, manage the kitchen safely, and make the experience genuinely engaging for every child in the room.

Who we are looking for:

  • Experience working with children is essential. Whether that is teaching, coaching, tutoring, or any form of group facilitation with kids.
  • Experience conducting group classes or leading group activities is strongly preferred. You should be comfortable speaking to a group, giving clear instructions, and adapting on the fly when things do not go to plan.
  • A culinary background is helpful. If you can cook confidently from scratch and follow a structured recipe guide, that is enough. Scripts and full training will be provided before your first session.
  • Calm under pressure. A kitchen with 15 children in aprons is a managed environment, not a chaotic one, and you are the reason it stays that way.
  • Food hygiene awareness is a plus. Formal certification is not required.

What you get:

$20 – $30 per class

  • Full curriculum and kitchen training before your first session covering recipes, safety protocols, and delivery techniques
  • Genuine hands-on teaching experience in a one-of-a-kind programme

Cooking Assistant

Pay: $10 – $15 per hour

What the role involves:

You will support weekend cooking sessions (Saturday and Sunday) at our purpose-built kids' kitchen at Kinderbridge. You will work alongside the lead instructor:

  • Helping students with hands-on steps
  • Keeping stations organised
  • Managing ingredients and equipment.

Who we are looking for:

  • Comfortable in a kitchen and confident with hands-on tasks like measuring, mixing, and basic prep
  • Patient and attentive with children, including younger students who need a bit more guidance
  • Calm and organised under pressure. A kitchen full of 15 children in aprons runs smoothly because the people in it stay on top of things
  • No culinary background required, though prior kitchen or food-related experience is a plus
  • Food hygiene awareness is a plus. Formal certification is not required but candidates will complete a basic food safety induction before their first session

What you get:
$10 – $15 per hour

  • Full training before your first session covering kitchen safety, station setup, and how to support the instructor effectively
  • Hands-on experience working in a structured, one-of-a-kind programme

T&Cs apply.

Employees will commence at the base salary. Salary increments will be based on KPI and overall work performance.

Pay: $10.00 - $30.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
