- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

- Basic proficiency in Python

- Familiarity with calling APIs, building APIs and working with JSON

- Exposure to LLMs or generative AI concepts (coursework, projects, or personal experimentation is sufficient)

- Basic understanding of software development fundamentals (Git, debugging, testing)

- Eagerness to learn and experiment with agentic AI systems

Nice to Have (Not Required)

- Experience with React, Node.js, Golang or FastAPI

- Experience using LLM APIs (Claude, Gemini, etc.)

- Coursework or projects involving ML, NLP, or AI systems

- Prior internship, hackathon, or personal project experience

Responsibilities

Description

As an AI Engineering Intern at Axium Industries, you'll work alongside senior engineers to help build and experiment with intelligent, agent-based systems. This role is designed for students or early-career technologists who want hands-on exposure to real production AI systems, not just toy projects.

You'll contribute to prompt engineering, simple agent workflows, and supporting tools that power Axium's multi-agent platforms. You'll learn how modern AI systems are designed, evaluated, and shipped in a fast-moving startup environment, with mentorship and structured guidance from experienced engineers.

This internship is ideal for someone curious about LLMs, agentic AI, and full-stack systems, and who wants to grow into a strong AI engineer.

Responsibilities

- Assist in building and testing prompt templates and simple agent workflows

- Support integration of LLM APIs into internal tools and prototypes

- Help develop or refine basic UI components, APIs, or dashboards

- Write and maintain clean, readable code with guidance from senior engineers

- Participate in code reviews, testing, and basic debugging

- Document learnings, experiments, and implementation notes
