The Technician Intern will assist the engineering and technical team in daily operations, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities. This internship provides hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes, preventive maintenance, and production support while developing practical technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist technicians and engineers in equipment setup, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Support preventive maintenance (PM) activities according to the maintenance schedule.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment and machinery under supervision.
- Perform routine inspections of machines, tools, and production equipment.
- Record maintenance activities and update maintenance logs.
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment when required.
- Assist in identifying equipment abnormalities and report findings to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all company safety regulations, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen/5S) activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Job Authority
- Carry out assigned tasks under the guidance of technicians or engineers.
- Report equipment abnormalities and safety concerns immediately.
- Recommend improvement ideas related to maintenance or operational efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Or any related technical field.
- Internship duration of at least 3–6 months.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing equipment and maintenance concepts.
- Able to read simple technical drawings and work instructions.
- Willing to work in a manufacturing environment.
