Newtro is a Trading Card online and offline shop that has been in the industry for the past 5 years. It occupies of the biggest spaces for trading cards, and strives to be a one-stop shop for players & collectors by offering sealed products, grading, singles, consignment, and tournaments.

Role Details

Location:

- In-store (315 Outram Road, Tan Boon Liat Building, #14-09. 5 mins from to Havelock MRT Exit 1)

Basic requirements:

- 18 years old (as of start date)

- 6 months to 1 year contract

- possibility to convert to full time

Hours:

- Tuesday to Sunday, 1.30 to 8pm

- <7 hrs per day / <40 hrs per week

- No requirement or obligation to Overtime ("OT")

Probation Period:

- 4 weeks

Pay:

- S$900–S$1500 / month (depending on experience and suitability)

- Fixed monthly pay, and does not vary based on weekends or public holidays worked

- Does not include CPF, overtime pay, annual leave, or paid medical leave

- Any time away from work will be treated as unpaid leave, and the monthly pay will be prorated accordingly

- Excessive absenteeism or frequent unpaid leave without legitimate reason may result in the job being reviewed or terminated early

No prior TCG or customer service experience is required but beneficial— training will be provided.

Customer interaction will be limited to basic walk-in customer questions at the counter. Stock taking will be limited to front facing (i.e, no entry to admin/storage room unless explicitly given).

For the first few days, you will observe how we usually answer customer questions while helping with admin work, and learn our usual scripted responses and workflows.

All tasks in this role are based on existing processes and clear instructions, and you’ll always be able to check in if you’re unsure.

This role does not involve dealing with special requests, handling online customer enquiries (e.g. Telegram), managing back-end stock, or managing suppliers.

What we're looking for help with:

- Assisting walk-in customers at the counter/cashier

- Packing orders using prepared instructions

- Carrying and sorting products

- Understanding how to check market pricing of single cards

- Counting and tallying display items with inventory

- Social media content creation/filming

- Keeping the shop neat and organised

- Pre-grading using prepared instructions

- Accepting grading submissions

- TCG Tournament organisation and facilitation

- Live streaming and live streaming admin (TBC)

- Entering card details into Excel / Google Sheets (TBC)

Your actual scope will be assessed and determined after the trial period.

Pay: $900.00 - $1,500.00 per month
